3D printer – OBJET260 CONNEX 3 by Stratasys:
  • High end 3D printer capable of printing ABS-like and rubber-like materials
  • Capable of printing a wide variety of soft and stiff materials
  • Capable of printing structures comprising up to three different materials
  • Capable of printing with great accuracy (~16 microns)
Instron 5943 with a torsion add-on:
  • The newest state-of-the-art machine for characterization of the mechanical response of materials
  • Characterization of the response of materials under tension, compression, shear, and torsion
  • Force capacity – 1 kN
  • Great for measuring the response of soft materials
Video extensometer for Instron
  • Accurate measurement of local longitudinal and transverse strain
  • Characterization of the Young's modulus and the Poisson ratio
Environmental chamber
  • Temperature range: -40 - 150 °C
  • Relative humidity range: 20% - 98%
  • Chamber volume: 22.5 L
